John McCormick is the managing attorney for Hanger Law's Chesapeake office, which is conveniently located in the Greenbrier area. John graduated from Regent University School of Law in 2010, where he served as Chairman of the Moot Court Board and a member of the Student Leader Advisory Board. After law school, John found his niche practicing real estate and business law throughout Virginia and North Carolina. In real estate, John has experience representing investors, developers, builders, banks, lenders, and individual home buyers in a variety of transactions. His business practice ranges from advising entrepreneurs to assisting established business owners in mergers, acquisitions, contracts, and dispute resolution. John has successfully resolved hundreds of real estate, business, and fiduciary disputes, both inside and outside of the courtroom.
For the past eight years, I have helped business owners start new endeavors, individuals purchase their home, investors buy and sell commercial property, and developers build amazing neighborhoods.
My passion is to develop solutions for individuals and businesses by utilizing the most efficient and effective remedy available. I accomplish this by serving business owners as a part of their team and protecting individuals in their business and real estate needs. John is a native of Chesapeake with deep roots throughout Hampton Roads. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and business development. John founded golaunCH, a business initiative intended to grow Chesapeake through networking and business collaboration. Outside of his practice of law, John serves the City of Chesapeake as a Planning Commissioner and is a Board Member of Roc Solid Foundation. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and loves spending time with his wife, daughter, and two yellow labs.
